Full Text of JOE Listing:
We are seeking a postdoctoral candidate with experience working with large multi-region, multi-sector computable general equilibrium models. The successful candidate will have substantial influence in a major modelling initiative. Someone with experience incorporating learning, multi-period technical change and a range of environmental and income tax structures into a CGE framework is preferred, but not necessary. The applicant should be familiar with the GAMS programming language (knowledge of MPS/GE would be an asset) and be fluent in both written and spoken English. Ideally, the successful candidate would begin immediately or in the very near future.

Based out of the University of Ottawa's Institute of the Environment, the successful candidate would be a core member of a research team that includes senior scholars from several universities (University of Ottawa, Wilfrid Laurier University and University of Calgary) as well as key individuals from Environment Canada. The candidate would be expected to publish in peer-reviewed journals in addition to providing essential input for a high-profile group of policy professionals.

Candidates will receive a competitive salary and have the opportunity to present their research at academic conferences. The initial appointment is for one year with possible extension for a second.
