The Department of Work and Organizations in the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a faculty position in organizational/personnel economics and compensation. We are looking for an extraordinary colleague who will publish world-class scholarly research, teach some combination of undergraduate, professional master’s and doctoral-level courses, and advise doctoral students in organizational/personnel economics, compensation, and related areas. Researchers using behavioral and experimental approaches are welcome.

The appointment will begin August 2013 at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor depending upon qualifications and experience, and consistent with collegiate and university policy. Applicants must have a Ph.D. in economics, industrial relations, or a closely-related discipline by August 2013, a scholarly research record and teaching experience appropriate to career stage, a commitment to teaching compensation and other subjects from an applied and multidisciplinary perspective, and a desire to interact and collaborate with colleagues from other disciplines. Successful applicants will be expected to contribute to the service needs of a vibrant department, college and university, as well as to interact with the professional business and human resources communities
