The Economics Department at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for a position in applied microeconomics at the Assistant Professor level. Applicants should be able to contribute to the microeconomics research focus. We have a preference for candidates with expertise in development, experimental, health, labor, public, international trade or industrial organization. Excellence in research and teaching are the primary criteria for this position. The department is known for research in international economics, experimental, and applied microeconomics. It has a Ph.D. program and several undergraduate programs. Applicants expected to teach at undergraduate and graduate level, advise graduate students, and contribute to the research environment of the Department. The campus is especially interested in candidates who contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community through research, teaching and/or service.
