James Madison College of Michigan State University seeks an interdisciplinary teacher and scholar for an Assistant Professor, tenure track position within the Social Relations and Policy field. We seek a broadly trained scholar of public policy with expertise in socioeconomic inequality. Areas of research may include: race and ethnicity, health care, urban, family, crime, and work. Previous experience in public policy would be welcome.
Candidates may be from the disciplines of sociology, political science, public policy, economics, and related disciplines; they must be oriented towards examining the linkages among the social, political and economic dimensions of policy. Candidates should be able to contribute to the University specialization in Political Economy, and our program for first year public affairs students.
