The Forecasting Department of FedEx Services Revenue Science and Analytics division is recruiting one Senior Forecasting Analyst to join its staff.

Responsibilities:
Under minimal supervision, provide quantitative analyses on pricing actions, economic impacts, competitive strategies, market/sales/targeted marketing initiatives, and other internal/external marketing programs. Digest all relevant information and develop short-range and long- range forecasts for FedEx operating companies. Present forecasts and analyses to senior management.

Responsibilities include:

*Forecast business performance using internal and external data.
*Analyze economic and business factors and conduct statistical analysis.
*Develop/enhance forecasting and reporting systems.
*Produce technical documentation.
*Present forecast to management.

An ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

*Strong background in theoretical and empirical econometric and time-series analysis (typically a Ph.D. or M.S. Economics/Statistics or other quantitative degrees).
*Strong quantitative problem solving skills and interest in business analysis.
*Extensive experience in statistic software package, such as SAS.
*Extensive experience with UNIX, ORACLE, SQL, and VB.
*Other programming languages (such as C++, Java).
*Strong communication and presentation skills.
*Real world forecasting and business analysis experience.
*Good human relation skills and a team player.
