University of Minnesota, Department of Applied Economics
Assistant Professor, International Development - Microeconomics. This is a 9-month, 100% time, 50% research and 50% teaching, tenure track appointment. The successful candidate for this position will develop a leading nationally and internationally recognized research program related to international microeconomic development with a strong emphasis in the application of quantitative methods and economic theory to address timely and relevant development topics in food, health, agriculture and the environment. The individual will teach undergraduate and graduate courses that might include applied economics and theory, quantitative methods courses, and field courses in areas of international development. Essential qualifications: PhD in applied economics, agricultural economics, economics, or closely related field; evidence of potential to develop an outstanding record of scholarly research in the area of international development; and compelling written and oral communication skills for professional and nonprofessional audiences.
