We are seeking candidates with interest and experience in developing an extramurally funded research program and teaching in health policy and management. Duties include an active program of research, teaching, and service as well as mentoring graduate and undergraduate students. Candidates must possess strong research skills, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates with research and/or teaching interests in one or more of the following three areas: (1) health services research, including health economics, comparative effectiveness, outcomes research or technology assessment; (2) public policy/health policy analysis, including evaluation of health programs, health services, and/or public health programs, or public administration; (3) health services management/health care administration, including health care organizations, institutional management (hospitals, nursing homes, managed care, etc), organizational behavior, or financial management. Preference will be given to candidates with interest in collaborative, large scale research programs. Candidates with a background and/or experience in public health are preferred.
Qualifications: Candidates for the position must meet the following requirements:
--Completed Doctoral degree from an accredited institution.
--Experience and qualifications appropriate to an appointment at either the Assistant or Associate Professor level
--Evidence of ability to conduct both independent and collaborative research and to generate extramural funds for research
--Strong record of (or demonstration of potential for) published peer-reviewed articles
--Demonstrated interest and ability in developing courses and teaching at graduate and undergraduate level and in advising/mentoring graduate students
