Activities
--Assess active risk characteristics at total alpha pool and individual strategy level
--Assist in selection process of external long-only and hedge fund managers across various assets/strategies
--Work with legal staff to ensure external managers' contracts fully articulate requirements, benchmarks, and negotiated fees
--Monitor risk exposures and performance of external long-only and hedge fund managers
--Analyze and perform due diligence on new managers and other value-added strategies
--Interface with external managers; monitor qualitative risks of the strategy
--Uphold, reinforce the highest ethical and fiduciary standards by way of professional and personal conduct
--Work with staff on the production and development of various technology initiatives, systems, software
--Assist managing administrative requirements, compliance and general information flow of external managers
--Provide recommendations to Fund of Funds Manager regarding appropriate risk allocations to the overall alpha pool
Qualifications
--Bachelor's required, MBA/Master's and/or CFA or other designation preferred
--Advanced analytical, quantitative, software skills
--Good inter-personal skills, team player, and ability to interact with wide range of individuals
--Three to five years of investment analysis experience; preferably manager evaluation experience
U.S. work authorization, current residency in, or willingness to relocate to, the Madison, Wisconsin area required. SWIB offers relocation assistance.
Occasional travel.
