The Department of Finance at the University of Connecticut is seeking applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor for research, teaching, service and outreach activities. This is a full time, 9-month appointment with an anticipated start date of August 23, 2013. The minimum requirements include Ph.D. in Finance (candidates expecting to finish PhD by Fall 2013 are encouraged to apply); specialization in corporate finance and investments is preferred, as are evidence of outstanding research supported by copies of working papers and manuscripts with potential for publication in leading academic journals in Finance, and effective communication skills and evidence of superior classroom experience at the Undergraduate and Graduate levels. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The selected candidates will teach primarily in the Undergraduate and Graduate Business Programs at the University of Connecticut's regional campus located in Stamford, and possibly the main campus at Storrs, as well as regional campuses at Hartford and Waterbury. Teaching in some programs may entail supervision of student projects in collaboration with area businesses.
