The Office of the Chief Financial Officer is in search of a Director of Revenue Estimation. The person filling this position will be responsible for completing tax research, considering methodologies to be used, timeframes needed for completion of projects; forecasting revenue and monitoring the progress of work. Additional responsibilities include analyses of potential tax revenue produced by the economy, identifying tax gaps and enforcement opportunities for revenue generation; providing analysis of legislative and other proposals that pertain to revenue generation; incorporating contemporary, advanced statistical and analytical technique, finance and policy analysis; conducting work in the presence of a developing data warehouse for research purposes and based on models of economic and revenue systems that are theoretically and empirically valid; drawing policy conclusions and making related recommendations based on research activities; presenting findings and making recommendations. A degree in a related field is strongly desired.
