Securities and Exchange Commission is seeking Financial Economists who will participate in the agency-wide risk assessment program analyzing a wide range of market data.
Financial Economist will:
.Apply a thorough knowledge of planning, information assembly, analysis, conclusions, and report preparation to support assignments, studies, programs, or projects;
.Analyze and support key issues and produce analysis that supports recommendations regarding financial regulation and the implications indicated;
.Participate and provide input in the analyses being conducted by senior managers and supervisors; identify key issues and making recommendations regarding financial regulation and the economic implications
.Apply finance principles, standards, theories, practices, concepts, and techniques to matters before the Division.
MUST be a US Citizen
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
.Experience planning, assembling information, conducting analysis, developing conclusions, and preparing reports of an economic/financial nature.
.Experience participating and providing input into the analyses being conducted by senior managers and supervisors.
.Experience identifying key issues and making recommendations regarding financial regulation and the economic implications.
.Ability to communicate to identify problems, recommends solutions, and conveys complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
.Ability to collaborate with others to carry out financial and/or economic studies, programs and projects.
