The UMD School of Public Policy seeks to fill a faculty position in public budgeting/financial management at the Assistant Professor level. We are particularly interested in scholars whose research focuses on state and local public budgeting and financial management issues. Expertise or interest in nonprofit financial management would also be highly desirable. The successful applicant must be able to teach the core course in public sector financial management within the Master's in Public Policy (MPP) program, in addition to one or more other courses within the curriculum. Applicants who have recently received a PhD (or expect to earn the degree before the start of the 2013-14 academic year) or who are already established scholars are encouraged to apply. Appointments are anticipated to begin in August 2013. Salary is competitive.
