Health Economist or Health Policy Researcher: Serves as a scientific officer in the National Center for Injury Prevention and Control (NCIPC), providing expert consultation on health economics and/or public policy research related to the prevention of injuries and violence. Independently designs and conducts research to examine the cost and effectiveness of policies designed to prevent injuries and violence. Develops grants, contracts or cooperative agreements with institutions of higher education, community-based organizations and other governmental and non-governmental health agencies. PhD or other terminal degree in economics, public policy, health services research or related field required. Competitive salary and benefits. The review of applications will begin on August 15th 2012. Applications received by that time will receive full consideration. Applicants who are selected for on-site interviews may be asked to give a presentation of their research.
