The Department of Economics at Iowa State University seeks to hire a tenure-track Assistant or tenured Associate Professor in Natural Resource and Environmental Economics. The successful applicant will be expected to develop, or maintain, a strong research program in the field. A portion of the research activities will focus on bioenergy and biorenewables with the expectation of the development of a national reputation in this area. The successful applicant will be expected to publish regularly in top economics journals, provide high quality teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and supervise graduate student research. Successful applicants will also be expected to seek: 1) productive interaction with researchers in other pertinent disciplines on and off campus; 2) engagement with individuals in industry and government, either directly or through established research entities such as the Bioeconomy Institute, the Center for Agricultural and Rural Development, and the Biobased Industry Center; and 3) external grant and contract funding.
