The Market Sizing and Forecasting Group is Intel's main economic team. It forecasts demand for PCs and other devices in which Intel puts its silicon. They track marketing and economic trends and conduct forecasts using a combination of statistical and econometric tools.
Duties/Responsibilities include:
You will be responsible for working with economists and business analysts to analyze and reconcile poorly conditioned market data, to develop and estimate demand equations for PCs and other electronic devices using market and socioeconomic data, and to forecast and analyze device volumes and prices. Your goal will be to develop state of the art models of market demand for computers and related devices.
"MUST HAVE" SKILLS:
*Masters degree (PhD preferred) in Economics, Applied Economic or Statistics.
*1+ year of post-graduate work and/or 3 years of experience as a Statistician, Economist or Economic analyst.
*Experience in Applied Econometrics, Forecasting and Regression Analysis.
*Experience developing and running advanced econometric and statistical models.
*A firm theoretical background in applied economics, applied statistics, or related fields and the ability to develop and explain economic models.
