The Department of Policy Analysis and Management at the College of Human Ecology at Cornell University is seeking to hire faculty in Health Economics. Rank is open. This will be a tenure-track position, with responsibilities of 50% research and 50% teaching and advising. The new hire will conduct empirical research in the area of health economics, with some preference for research on the economics of risky health behaviors. The position will include teaching and advising students at the undergraduate, masters, and/or Ph.D. level.

This position is in an applied multidisciplinary department with research interests in the areas of health policy, regulatory policy, and social policy, and with faculty members drawn from economics, sociology, public policy, health services research, and other disciplines. The department offers a bachelors degree, a Masters in Health Administration, and a Ph.D. in Policy Analysis and Management. Qualified faculty will also have the opportunity to belong to the graduate field of Economics and work with and supervise Economics PhD students. The research environment offers ample opportunity for faculty cooperation and interactions, both within the department and across the university.

Qualifications: Candidates should have a strong background and interest in research and teaching in the area of health economics. A Ph.D. in economics, health services research, public policy or other appropriate field is required.

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience and qualifications. Competitive benefit package.
