Develop and execute comprehensive plans for research and analysis of complex litigation and regulatory proceedings. Duties: formulate and implement relevant empirical and theoretical economic models while reviewing and critiquing models presented by opposing parties; apply relevant economic theory (e.g., microeconomics, game theory, industrial organization and econometrics) to build models and to modify and extend them to address specific cases. Minimum requirements are: M.A. in economics, or J.D.; plus 1 year of experience, in the position offered or a relevant position (e.g., economist, instructor, researcher). Must have: Proven skills in mathematical problem solving, coupled with the ability to effectively anticipate strategies advanced by opposing parties. Proven fluency in the STATA software program for statistical analysis. Proven skills in econometric research and analysis. Proven ability to work on economics projects as they arise in a fast-paced legal research environment with little or no advance notice, and to complete such projects quickly and accurately in a timely manner. Proven ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Proven skills in oral and written communication.
