Capital University of Economics and Business (CUEB) invites nominations, applications, and expressions of interest for the position of Dean, School of Labor Economics with the appointment to be effective as soon thereafter as possible.

CUEB, a state-owned university founded in 1956 and located in the heart of downtown Beijing, has grown to be a modern comprehensive international university well-known in Economics, Finance, Business, Accounting, Law, Science and Engineering. The university has over 20,000 students and 700 tenured faculty members and offered over 100 programs across PhD, masters and Bachelors. The School of Labor Economics (SLE) is recognized nationally for the expertise of its professors, the talent of its students, the contributions of its alumni and the exceptional quality of teaching and research. Its faculty members have created strategic ties with industry, universities, and government. SLE is the first faculty in Chinese universities to provide education in Labor Science and its Labor Economics has been listed as National Key Disciplines by the Ministry of Education. Its programs of Labor & Social Security and Human Resource Management are also listed in National Professional Characteristics Majors. The SLE consists of 17 full-time professors, 800 undergraduate students and 300 graduate students.

Reporting to the University Council, the Dean, School of Labor Economics, will have an exemplary academic record, strong achievements in research, teaching, scholarly activities and service, and demonstrated leadership capabilities in a collegial university setting. The Dean will provide vision, strategy and dynamic leadership to facilitate and enhance the endeavors of CUEB Labor Economics through an open and international style. Compensation for this position is internationally competitive.
