JOB DESCRIPTION: Full time research assistant to Professors Joseph Doyle, Amanda Kowalski, and Heidi Williams
We are looking to hire a full time research assistant to work for at least one year, starting in summer 2012 or later. This position will entail close collaboration on various empirical research projects analyzing the returns to medical spending using Medicare claims data.
Candidates should have a long-term interest in pursuing research related to economics and/or health policy. However, prior background in these areas is not strictly necessary. This position is ideal for candidates looking to develop research skills in preparation for applying to PhD programs.
Preference will be given to detail-oriented applicants with previous programming experience and good communication skills.
The position is located at the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) in Cambridge, MA. Annual salary is $39,653, with benefits.
