The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), located in Washington, DC, seeks a Senior Economist who will maintain databases, prepare analyses for internal use and the website, as well as participate in forecasting, research and analysis of the housing industry and related issues. The position also includes support to the Chief Economist.
A minimum of 5 years experience working in private, non-profit or government sectors is required, with emphasis on empirical work. Preference will be given to candidates with basic knowledge of research methods, spreadsheet, econometric software (e.g., EViews) and basic programming (e.g., SAS, SPSS, etc.) experience. Candidates should have good written and oral communication skills. Experience with U.S. regional and housing industry data is a plus. Advanced degree in economics or related field required, PhD preferred.
