The Beacom School of Business at The University of South Dakota is seeking applicants for Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics for the 2012-2013 academic year August 22, 2012 through May 21, 2013.
Successful candidates must either be academically or professionally qualified to teach Principles of Micro, Principles of Macro, and MBA-level Managerial Economics. A minimum of an ABD in Economics is required, with some preference for a completed Ph.D. in Economics.
Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate excellence in teaching face-to-face and online courses. The teaching load is three classes per semester. Faculty may be expected to teach classes at both the Vermillion and Sioux Falls campus locations. Candidates may have the option of teaching solely online in Fall 2012, but will need to be on-campus for Spring 2013. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
Applicants are required to attach: (1) letter of application, (2) vita, (3) college transcripts (copies accepted) showing highest degree earned, (4) 2-3 representative teaching evaluations, (5) writing sample, and (6) contact information for three references (please include e-mail addresses and current telephone numbers).
