The Department of Economics at Bates College, a private, highly selective liberal arts college in Maine, invites applications for a one or two year visiting position to begin September, 2012. Applicants must be able to teach intermediate microeconomics; we prefer candidates who can also teach undergraduate electives in at least one of the above fields. The annual teaching load is 5 semester courses. Ph.D.s are preferred, but we will consider ABDs. The college and the Department of Economics are committed to enhancing the diversity of the campus community and the curriculum. Candidates who can contribute to this goal are encouraged to apply and identify their strengths and experiences in this area.
