The School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) at Indiana University seeks to appoint a senior faculty member in the area of Budgeting and Financial Management on the Bloomington campus. The appointment is expected to be at the rank of associate or full professor, depending on the qualifications of the successful applicant. Applicants must demonstrate excellence in their research program, have expertise in research methods, and possess a national or international profile as a scholar in their field. Preference will be given to those candidates who have applied experience in budgeting at the state, federal, or international level.
In addition to the above qualifications, the successful candidate will have strong teaching credentials and be able to offer courses in public budgeting and financial management at the undergraduate, masters, and doctoral levels.
SPEA is a multidisciplinary, core-school of Indiana University and is organized as a professional school committed to excellence in research, teaching, and service and to addressing critical issues of public policy and management. SPEA is one of the largest public affairs school in the U.S. with over 100 full-faculty on its two main campuses, Bloomington and Indianapolis. The graduate programs on the Bloomington campus consistently rank among the best in the country.
