Dave Donaldson (MIT) and Richard Hornbeck (Harvard) are searching for a full-time research assistant starting summer 2012. Work hours flexible but will average the equivalent of full time; conditional on performance, we hope to fill the position for 1 to 2 years. The salary is $40,000.
The successful candidate would fill an important role in our joint and individual research in Development Economics, Economic History, Environmental Economics, International Trade, Urban Economics, and Applied Microeconomics generally. Experience with relevant computer software is highly desirable (Stata, ArcView GIS, Matlab, AMPL), though experience with computers and willingness to learn new programs may be sufficient. We are looking for a highly-motivated person who can work efficiently with close attention to detail.
