RTI International has an opening within its Health Care Financing and Payment Program for a Senior Medicare Payment Policy Researcher. This person will be a subject matter expert on Medicare payment policy and will help procure funding for and direct the execution of such studies. Candidates should have knowledge of Medicare policy issues, and the quantitative, qualitative, and project management skills necessary to direct studies of Medicare policy.
Responsibilities:
--Direct studies of Medicare payment policy, including managing other RTI staff, project budgets, and client relationships
--Conduct and direct technical analyses, including analyses of Medicare claims and administrative data
--Write reports, memoranda, and papers, including supervising and editing the work of other contributors
--Perform research tasks of significant technical complexity
--Lead projects and proposals
Qualifications:
--Master's degree and 12 year of experience or PhD with 8 years of experience
--Must have Medicare payment policy experience
--Must have strong quantitative, policy analysis, and writing skills
--Proven track record of procuring funding and leading studies related to Medicare payment policy is preferred
--Strong record of publication is preferred
