The Yale School of Public Health (YSPH) and the Yale Cancer Center (YCC) seek to hire a scholar in cancer outcomes research at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor. Applicants with a research interest in quality of cancer care, comparative effectiveness of treatments and interventions across the cancer continuum, cost-effectiveness analysis of cancer care, and social and clinical factors that may affect cancer outcomes are especially encouraged to apply. The successful candidate can take advantage of a number of resources, including those available through the YCC (i.e., the Cancer Prevention and Control Research Program) (http://www.yalecancercenter.org/research/index.aspx), and other divisions at YSPH (http://medicine.yale.edu/ysph/about/index.aspx) including the divisions of Health Policy and Administration and Chronic Disease Epidemiology. The state of Connecticut has been a SEER region since 1973 and there is an opportunity to conduct statewide population-based cancer research. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree by the start of the appointment in epidemiology, health services research, health economics, or a related field, with a specialization in cancer. Also, applicants should have teaching experience, a record of research and scholarly accomplishments, and will be expected to develop an externally funded research program.
Review of applications will commence immediately and will continue until a successful candidate is identified.
Yale University is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer. Yale values diversity in its faculty, students, and staff and especially welcomes applications from women and underrepresented minorities.
