The Skolkovo Institute for Emerging Market Studies (SIEMS) is looking for both part-time and full-time macro/financial economists to produce research on the economies of the emerging markets. We are looking for Ph.D. economists with detailed knowledge and experience on the emerging market economies (China, Russia - CIS countries, India, MENA and Brazil are our primary focus). The researcher must have at least five years experience (all of it recent) in researching and writing on emerging market issues. Industry experience is a plus. The Institute is also looking for academics (same qualifications as above) interested in one year visiting positions in our Beijing or Moscow offices. For the part-time position, the researcher would be contracted to produce a fixed number of monthly and quarterly research papers ideally suited for business managers and policy makers.

SIEMS is a privately funded research institute that covers macroeconomic, financial and corporate issues in the emerging markets. While SIEMS is headquartered in Beijing, relocation and travel would not be required for the part-time position.
