The Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM) team in the World Bank's Indonesia office is seeking three extended-term consultant economists, to be based in Jakarta.
- A public expenditures economist to play a leading role in public finance and budget analysis and capacity building.
- A macro-financial economist and a tax policy and revenues economist to lead related workstreams within an institutional-strengthening project with the Government of Indonesia's Fiscal Policy Office.
The Indonesia program is one of the largest in the World Bank, focused on strengthening Indonesia's institutions and structured around wide-ranging and deep engagements. The Indonesia PREM team is also one of the Bank's largest with a very active program of policy-based and investment lending, analytic work, technical assistance and implementation support.
We are seeking dynamic and imaginative economists with a record of sound analytical work, good judgment, communication skills, and experience working closely with clients.
A relevant Masters degree or above is required (PhD preferred) and at least five (public expenditures economist) or eight (other positions) years of experience.
Appointments are for one year from April 2012 with possibility of extension for another year.
