The University of Edinburgh intends to appoint up to 100 Chancellor's Fellowships across the University's 22 Schools (including the School of Economics) as an investment in the future of teaching and research. These prestigious awards are aimed at early career individuals of the highest potential who have begun to establish a reputation for the highest quality research at the forefront of their discipline and who have a commitment to learning and teaching at university level.
These are research-focussed positions open to candidates who will have completed or submitted their PhD before starting the position, and who have evidence of very high quality research outputs at the forefront of the discipline.
The School of Economics is a dynamic, growing department with an excellent track record in research and even higher aspirations (www.econ.ed.ac.uk). We are a key player in the Scottish Institute for Research in Economics (www.sire.ac.uk) and the current host for the Scottish Graduate Programme in Economics (www.sgpe.ac.uk).
