The successful candidate for this position will have a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching utilizing innovative pedagogical methods. Primary needs include, but are not limited to, teaching Macroeconomic Theory (principles and intermediate), Money and Banking, Economic History and Environmental Economics. In addition to serving economics majors, many of the courses taught are in support of the college's general education or business programs. Additional responsibilities will include recruiting, advising, and mentoring students; participating in departmental and committee tasks; and maintaining personal scholarship. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in economics (ABD considered at Assistant level). Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate successful teaching experience, the ability to work in a team environment, and visionary leadership skills for a growing department whose mission is to serve the needs and interests of students in a small liberal arts college community.
