Full Text of JOE Listing:
The UC Center for Energy and Environmental Economics (UCE3) at UC Santa Barbara, a research center affiliated with the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management and the Department of Economics, invites applications for a special UCE3 Visiting Fellow/Researcher position during the 2012-13 academic year. This rotating position is open to any Ph.D. economist who currently holds a full-time faculty position at a university or an equivalent position at a research institute. It provides the opportunity to pursue research in any area of energy, environmental or resource economics while on leave from the visitors home institution. Appointments are for one academic quarter; our academic year is divided into three ten week quarters - approximately October-December (Fall), January-March (Winter) and April-June (Spring.)

The UCE3 Visiting Fellow/Researcher is expected to be in residence at the University during the term of the appointment. While not required to teach or perform other university duties, the UCE3 Fellow/Researcher is encouraged to informally interact with UCSB graduate students and faculty. Fellows are expected to present one research seminar and one public seminar during their visit. Compensation is in the form of reimbursement for (a) round trip economy travel expenses for the visitor from the visitors home and (b) local living expenses while at UCSB. Preference is given to current tenure-track UC faculty.
Application Instructions:

Interested candidates should send a current CV and a letter of interest briefly outlining (1 or 2 paragraphs) the planned topics of study while in residence. Please indicate which quarter you are interested in for your visit (Fall, Winter, Spring.) All materials should be sent to Debbie Kleinpeter at UCE3 (dkleinpeter@bren.ucsb.edu).
