Earlham College seeks a committed teacher who desires to work closely with undergraduate students and colleagues in our interdisciplinary Business & Nonprofit Management Program. The successful candidate will teach finance and accounting and develop new courses appropriate for a distinctive interdisciplinary social science program in a liberal arts context. In addition to teaching requirements, the new faculty member will advise students and shape the future directions of the Program. Candidates with a willingness to combine our Program strengths with innovative contributions in such areas as international entrepreneurship or environmental sustainability in business are welcome. The candidate will be hired either as a tenure-track faculty member or as a Practitioner in Residence:
For the tenure track position, a Ph.D. (or D.B.A) in an appropriate social science field and experience in teaching are required.
For the position as Practitioner in Residence, an MBA or PhD with relevant professional experience and demonstrated teaching ability is required. Experience in finance and accounting, entrepreneurship, or with enterprises in an international context is desirable.
