Full Text of JOE Listing:
The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) seeks to improve the lives of poor people in low- and middle-income countries by providing evidence about which development interventions work, when, why, and for how much. We are currently seeking a post-doctoral fellow to establish and lead 3ie's replication program.

Responsibilities include:
--Conducting one or more replication studies of impact evaluations of interventions in low- or middle-income countries
--Reviewing and revising 3ie's replication guidelines
--Identifying candidate impact evaluations for replication
--Serving as technical advisor and reviewer for replication studies being conducted under the program

Desired qualifications:
--Completed doctoral degree in economics, political science, or other relevant social science
--Research experience and emerging publication record in experimental and quasi-experimental methods of impact evaluation
--Knowledge of international development policies and programs
--Demonstrated writing and speaking skills in English

The fellowship is a term appointment for a period of 12-24 months, to be agreed in advance, starting November 2011 or as soon as a qualified candidate is identified. The fellow will work on site in 3ie's Washington DC offices. 3ie, Inc. provides 401(k) and other standard benefits. Further information is available on the 3ie website.
