Applicants must have Ph.D. in Economics by June 1, 2012 in order to teach in the Ph.D. program, although candidates who focus on Public Economics, Urban/Regional Planning, Urban Economics or a related field will be considered if qualified to teach economics courses at the BA/MA levels.
Candidates with a concentration in urban economics or public economics with, affordable housing/neighborhood development, community economic/workforce development, sustainable development, and urban/regional planning are particularly encouraged to apply. We offer an interdisciplinary Ph.D. in Public Affairs; a Masters in Public Administration and in Economics; and a Bachelor in Economics and in Urban Studies. Existing partnerships bring the Economics Department, Law School, and Business School into a collaborative relationship.
