The TIAA-CREF Institute invites applications for a full-time post-doctoral research position. We are interested in applicants with a primary research interest in household financial security, with an emphasis on retirement income security and employer sponsored plans. The ideal candidate must be capable of working in a corporate environment, able to meet deadlines, be a team player, flexible in the face of changing priorities, and possess the interest and ability to write for a non-academic audience.
The TIAA-CREF Institute generates research on financial security and higher education issues; disseminates knowledge through research reports, conferences, web casts, and other forums; and facilitates interactions between college and university leadership, higher education thought leaders, and TIAA-CREF management.
Topics in the current TIAA-CREF Institute research agenda include:
- The role of deferred annuities in a retirement portfolio
- The next generation of retirement plan design for state and local governments
- The role of guaranteed income in a retirement portfolio
- How plan design effects participant decisions
- Enterprise Risk Management for Higher Education
- Attitudes and expectations about retirement security
