The Department of Economics anticipates hiring up to two tenure-track or tenured faculty members for the 2012-2013 academic year. The positions may be filled at the senior assistant, associate or full professor rank. Candidates who have a Ph.D. and a demonstrated record of quality research and publication, consistent with rigorous tenure standards, are encouraged to apply. The department offers Ph.D. fields in industrial organization, international, labor, macro/monetary, environmental/health, and public economics. Candidates in these fields, or related supporting fields such as econometrics or microeconomics are of particular interest, although we will consider strong candidates in any field. Applicants should send curriculum vitae, a written sample of research, and evidence of teaching ability. Candidates for assistant professor rank should also arrange to have three letters of recommendation sent. Consideration of applications will begin September 1st and will continue until all positions are filled. To insure full consideration, candidates should provide their information to the department by December 1st, 2011. Interviews at the ASSA meetings in Chicago, IL are anticipated, although senior candidates may be contacted prior to these meetings. The University of Kentucky is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer. For more information about the department see http://gatton.uky.edu/Units/ECO/index.html.
