The Department of Economics has an opening for a tenured full or associate professor in
Microeconomics, with a specialization in Environmental economics. Candidates should hold
a Ph.D. in economics and must have a proven track record of publications in refereed journals
commensurate with the position they choose to apply for. Preference will be given to
candidates with a strong commitment to research and an extended teaching experience in
microeconomics/public economics and environmental economics.
The position involves teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels with a teaching load
of six 45-minute lectures a week during 28 weeks. Teaching at the undergraduate level is
mainly in French; teaching at the graduate level is mainly in English. Full and associate
professors should expect to participate in the management of the department and may be
involved in administrative tasks at the university level (Institute for Environmental Sciences
in particular).
