The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City has an immediate opening for the position of Economist in its Omaha Branch office. The position's primary responsibilities are to produce scholarly research on topics of relevance to the economy of the Tenth Federal Reserve District, with a focus on agricultural and rural issues; communicate research findings in leading professional journals, Bank publications, and public presentations and speeches; and advise the Bank's senior management on regional economic developments.
Candidates with a Ph.D. in economics or agricultural economics, including a foundation in macroeconomics, agricultural finance, or price analysis are preferred. Candidates should have an exceptional academic record, a strong analytical foundation, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to manage several projects at one time.
