The Data Analytics team at LinkedIn is hiring economists and other quantitative experts to understand how our users behave on the site, analyze content optimization and monetization strategies, help build new data-driven products, and discover cool data insights that can come only from LinkedIn.
We have an incredible dataset to work with: 100 million professionals have profiles on LinkedIn highlighting their education, companies, skills, and professional connections. That is in addition to how people use the site over time and across different local and national economic events.
What we are looking for:
*Passion for data and using analytical approaches to solve problems
*Creativity: What are the fun, exciting or high-impact problems that we can solve using LinkedIn data?
*Deep intuition for applied econometrics and statistics
Bonus experience:
*Behavioral & experimental economics
*Data mining and machine learning algorithms
*Perl, Ruby, Python, PHP
*SQL, Hadoop, Pig (we will teach you!)
