Albert Winsemius Chair Professorship
The Albert Winsemius Professorship was established in 1997 by the Nanyang Technological University (NTU) as a lasting tribute to Dr Albert Winsemius for his significant far-sighted vision and contributions to the economic development of Singapore.
The Albert Winsemius Professorship is awarded to renowned eminent scholars of distinction. They are appointed to help review and develop NTU's curriculum, teach, initiate and undertake joint research projects with the university's faculty, give public lectures and conduct seminars. The Albert Winsemius Professorship will play a central role in NTU's continued development for academic excellence. As the Albert Winsemius Chair Professor, the selected scholar will continue his/her far-sighted vision in exploring practical application of cutting edge thinking and engaging with renowned academics, governmental officials and industry leaders as catalyst for changes that will provide concrete benefits to institutions and organizations. Preferably, we are looking for an eminent scholar of distinction who is well established in the fields of:
1. Development Economics
2. Sustainable Development
3. Growth and Development
4. Public Sector Economics
5. Public Policy
6. Open Economy Macroeconomics
