Boutique non-profit economic policy research and development organization is seeking an economist (MA/MS degree) to assist with a growing portfolio of projects. Our organization solves challenges relating to credit access for the underserved, credit markets in general, economic development, financial infrastructure (credit information flows), and data security and privacy.

This position requires an economist with advanced analytical skills, quantitative training, demonstrated empirical expertise, and excellent communication skills (written and oral). The ideal candidate will be creative, intellectually curious, and a multi-tasker able to work on a number of projects in a dynamic environment. Ability to travel is required. Must have prior experience using SAS, SPSS, or other such statistical software or a programming language. The position is located in Durham, NC.

Position responsibilities will likely include: formulating and constructing econometric models; performing research on market structures; crafting analytical arguments; and drafting reports.

Candidate must have a masters degree in economics, statistics, finance, or a related field from a leading university. Background in or strong commitment to economic development highly desirable.
