The Department of Economics invites applications for a Chair in Applied Economics which will be vacant in January 2012. To fulfil the needs of the Department's structured PhD programme, candidates must have experience in graduate-level formal instruction and in doctoral supervision, as well as a strong academic publication record.
Candidates should have an excellent research record in applied economics (for instance, labour economics, empirical IO, household choice, firm decisions, finance, development economics, trade, environmental economics), with an emphasis on applied empirical work. The successful candidate will teach in the econometrics sequence of the Department.
