The Department of Economics invites applications for two tenure track positions, one at the Assistant Professor level and a second at either the Assistant or Associate Professor level, both to begin August 2011. We are looking for candidates with expertise in one or more of the subject areas listed above, and who can complement the existing strengths of our Department as described in our website at http://www.be.wvu.edu/econ. Successful candidates will be expected to publish in high quality academic journals, teach effectively, participate actively on doctoral dissertation committees, and perform other duties typical for tenure track faculty in a research oriented department. One of the two hires is expected to teach a doctoral-level core course in Microeconomic Theory. Applicants should be able to give strong assurance of completing the Ph.D. prior to August 2011, and preference will be given to those with a degree in hand.
