Full Text of JOE Listing:
The National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) has an opening for a Term Post-Doc in Computational Methods. The job is located on the campus of Stanford University, Stanford, California.

Job Description:
Work with Dr. Kenneth Judd and collaborators to develop mathematical models related to dynamic economic problems, such as optimal allocations and applications of HJB methods, and implement them on a variety of computational platforms, including laptops, desktops, and distributed computing systems.

Job Qualifications:
(i) PhD in applied mathematics, computational mathematics, mathematical programming, operations research, or similar,
(ii) Familiarity with mathematical computational software and languages such as Fortran, C, C++, Mathematica or similar, and
(iii) Substantial familiarity with economics applications of ordinary and partial differential equations.

This is a full-time one year term position. Dependent on grant funding, it may be possible to extend the position for an additional term should this be mutually desirable.
