The Department of Economics seeks to fill one open rank tenured/tenure-track position beginning August 2010 subject to budget availability. We are a specialized department focused on policy that offers a highly successful M.A. program in applied economics and a new Ph.D. program with fields in health, labor, and public economics. We are seeking to deepen our research and teaching expertise in the areas listed above with priorities in public economics, labor economics, and applied econometrics.
Applicants should have an outstanding academic record, demonstrate a strong potential for creative research and teaching, and complete a Ph.D. prior to August 2010. Applicants with prior academic or professional research experience should have strong records of publications and sponsored research. We are searching for scholars who will conduct research, teach graduate and undergraduate courses, and mentor graduate students. We are particularly interested in candidates who can teach graduate courses in one or more of our priority areas.
