D0 Microeconomic Behavior: Underlying Principles; Institutions: Design, Formation, & Operations
Applications are sought for the position of Research Fellow in Financial Regulation at the Centre for Financial
Analysis and Policy (CFAP) in the University of Cambridge. The Centre is a leading research centre at
Cambridge University that conducts academic and policy research in the areas of financial regulation and
financial markets. The Centre brings together faculty, post-doctoral researchers and students from Economics,
Law, Statistics, Mathematics, and the Judge Business School. The candidate will be expected to participate in a
research programme into the economic, legal and regulatory aspects of financial crisis management and the role
of financial governance and regulation in financial innovation. In particular, the research will address the
principles v. rules debate in financial regulation and its impact on financial innovation. The candidate is
expected to have academic degrees in one of the following areas: law, economics, and/or management/finance.
Applications are particularly welcome from those with a background in game theory and other microeconomic
models such as agency theory. He/she will be expected to have obtained a PhD in the relevant field (or to have
submitted the thesis) before taking up the post. The appointment is expected to commence as soon as possible,
and will be for three years in the first instance. The salary will be in the range £24.402 — £31.840 (research
fellow) and £32.795 - £41.544 (senior research fellow) pa. For more information on the position, please contact
