The Women and Gender Studies Program invites applications for a Director. This is a tenured position and we are seeking a feminist with a Ph.D. in any social science, a specialty in race/ethnicity, and an established record of excellence in scholarship and teaching. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to diversity as an educational goal and to fostering the sexuality and gender identity studies minor that is part of the program. The candidate will also be expected to undertake an active program of research or creative activity that leads to publication and presentation in peer-reviewed scholarly outlets and, where available, to seek extramural funding for that research. Ideally, the appointment will begin in the Fall of 2008; to ensure full consideration, applications must be received by October 1, 2007.
