The Department of Economics at Suffolk University invites applications for a senior-level permanent appointment starting in the 2008-2009 academic year, pending final budgetary approval. Suffolk University is a private, comprehensive, urban university located on historic Beacon Hill in Boston. Candidates must provide evidence of demonstrated achievement in scholarship and excellence in teaching. The successful candidate is expected to take a leadership role in supervising Ph.D. dissertations and will teach a Ph.D.-level course in international monetary economics and finance. The teaching load is two courses per semester. Preference will be given to candidates with an interest in emerging economies and development economics, with an applied research focus.
