Pending approval and funding, the Department of Economics at the University of San Francisco is seeking to fill a position at the Assistant Professor level for an empirically-oriented economist with fields in Macroeconomics and/or Money & Banking and/or Financial Markets. The position is anticipated to begin in the Fall of 2008. This is a tenure track appointment. Applicants should be qualified to teach in the area of macroeconomics and one or more of the following areas; money & banking, financial economics, financial markets and time-series econometrics at both the undergraduate and Master's levels. We are particularly interested in candidates with empirical research, financial market experience, and familiarity with the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program and its curriculum. Applicants should submit a letter of application, curriculum vitae, sample of written work, graduate transcripts, evidence of excellent teaching ability (including teaching evaluations), and three letters of recommendation. Interviews will be conducted at the AEA meetings. Applications must be received, and complete, by December 1, 2007 to be considered for this position.
