Assistant Professor of Economics and Finance--Penn State Great Valley invites applications for a tenure-
track position in economics/finance for its innovative, evening AACSB-accredited M.B.A. program and
executive-style Master's in Finance program. Part of The Pennsylvania State University, The Penn State Great
Valley School of Graduate Professional Studies (www.gv.psu.edu) is located 25 miles northwest of downtown
Philadelphia. The nation's first research university facility permanently housed in a corporate park, PSGV
stands among world-class corporate neighbors. It was created to accommodate the busy schedules of full-time
professionals and other adults advancing or changing their careers and emphasizes the link between academic
theory and professional practice. The surrounding region offers an exceptionally rich cultural life and the
natural beauty of Chester County, Pennsylvania. Excellence in both teaching and research is expected and
supported through technology and other services. Faculty members also advise students and fulfill program,
campus, and University service assignments. Candidates must hold an earned doctorate in economics or
finance. The ideal candidate should be able to teach Microeconomics (Prices and Markets) and International
Finance or Financial Derivatives. Ability to teach effectively in a Web-based environment is a plus. The
successful candidate will (1) be responsible for teaching a five-course load to graduate business students; (2) be
expected to conduct research that leads to publications in well-regarded refereed journals; and (3) participate in
campus and university service activities commensurate with experience and rank. The position will be available
for the fall 2008 semester. Starting late October 2007, applications will be reviewed until the position has been
